This study addresses a key question in business: do organizational capabilities relate to bottom line performance? It is a hard struggle to assess intangible, organizational capabilities, but due to web-based technology, serious advances have been made to measure organizational architecture, a comprehensive conceptualization and dimensionalization of organizational capabilities.

Empirical data from Dutch headquartered multinationals demonstrate significant, positive relationships between more positive and more aligned organizational architectures and higher strategic performance – a new concept consisting of a combination of long-term and short-term performance indicators. Management plays an important role in setting a behavorial context that enables and inspires performance. This book shows what this means for management, particularly in the area of strategy implementation.
