So You Think You Can’t Network is het boek van Lin McDevitt-Pugh over netwerken en vooral het inzetten van jouw contacten als hulpbronnen. Om de lancering van dit boek te vieren starten we een wedstrijd vanuit de uitgeverij. We willen het boek in handen krijgen van oud-eurocommissaris Neelie Kroes en grondlegger van de ‘weak ties’ netwerktheorie Mark Granovetter.
Om dit voor elkaar te krijgen zouden we hen het boek natuurlijk gewoon toe kunnen sturen. Echter we willen dat het boek via ons netwerk in hun handen komt, via het fysiek doorgeven van het boek zonder dat de post daarbij gebruikt wordt. Dat wordt zeker voor een uitdaging voor het bereiken van Marc Granovetter die aan de andere kant van de oceaan woont.
We nemen drie kansen. Lin (auteur), Natasja (uitgever) en Karin (marketing) krijgen ieder twee boeken om door te geven. Op deze pagina houden we bij waar de boeken nu zijn.
De regels:
– Het boek moet via fysiek doorgeven bij Neelie Kroes/Mark Granovetter terecht komen. Gebruik maken van de post mag niet.
– Oproepen om iemand te vinden die je verder kan helpen mag via social media. Gebruik de hastag #sytycn.
– In het boek staat een emailadres, mail dit als je het boek in handen krijgt.
Wat valt er te winnen?
Eeuwige roem, een mooi netwerk en het boek ‘So you think you can’t network’ natuurlijk. Iedereen in de keten van het boek dat als eerste aankomt krijgt het boek thuisgestuurd.

So You Think You Can’t Network is Lin McDevitt-Pugh’s book about networks and especially about engaging your contacts as resources. The publishing house has developed a competition, to celebrate the launch of the book. We want to get the book to former European Commissioner Neelie Kroes and founder of the ‘weak ties’ network theory Mark Granovetter.
We could of course just send them the book. We think our networks can do the job just as well, passing the book physically from one person to the next, without engaging the postal services. Reaching Mark Granovetter on the other side of the world will be a challenge, and we are up to it.
Lin (author), Natasja (publisher) and Karin (marketing manager) are pitting their networks against each other. Each has two books to put in the game. We trace the passage of the books on this page.
The rules:
– The book has to be physically passed from hand to hand to finally reach Neelie Kroes/Mark Granovetter. Using postal services is not allowed.
– You may use social media to find someone who can help you get a step closer to whichever of the two people the book is to reach. Use the hastag #sytycn.
– There is an email address in the book, send an email to this address when you receive the book.
What can you win?
Glory, a great network and the book ‘So You Think You Can’t Network’ of course. Everyone in the chain of the book that first reaches its destination will receive a copy of the book (we will use the postal system for this part).
